Hi friends, Inviting the comments on whether do you accept or not this statement in our Indian culture ,published by "Salman Rushdie" & specify the reason why you do or dont agree?

Marriage is not a joke.Its such a relation that needs more maturity. Along with Maturity comes responsibility.
Hence it depends on an individual to decide to get married or not.

However he is unaware of what marriage is actually. How can a person who has married 4 times tell u What is marriage all about?

But somewhere it comes to a mind to fall back to our well known proverb "Experience makes man perfect"
so dont you think, based on his experience of getting married 4 times in the life has revealed him the importance of marriage & realized to be unnecessary & at the same time the exact definition of Marriage in dictionary has been mentioned as "Social Contract between the two people" which itself elaborate that its not more than just a "Social Contract". what you say?:/
"If u break youre marriage & go for another, whats ur respect in Society???" I believe the respect is not achieved or loosed just on this ground in the society & thats only the reason why we still worship lord Ganesha, Khandoba at the same time also praises the names in the History like Mughal Emperor Akbar & Socialist Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar married more than once in their lives. We cannot so easily define Marriage to be a life time contract, as no contract in this world has been for life time its only upto the individual having rights to maintain or not the contract upto the time of his willingness to.
well well well. What i think abt marriage is that its just a license for the you know what. If everything works out fine its great its wonderful. But the wife is not a servant to be doing household work. wht why ?
I ask all the guys if your wife got a job in a differnt city how many of u would be ready to move with her to a new with and hunt for your life there. But the case when reveresed it is assumed tht the wife will move with u. because u found a nice job for yourself.
If marriage is all about understanding and compromising then why do it. I am not saying I am against it. but how many marriages actually work out really cool. like the ones that we see in movies. Out of 100 i say 80% do not work out. But it really does not make sense to not try becasue "what if" we fall in that 80% but then we could also fall in the other 20%.
So essentially if it is compromising and understanding and doing what you dont want to do and not doing what you want to do then marriage just boils down to the very interesting point of you know what.

If life is a bed of roses, it is filled with thorns 2!! & so is marraige. Marriages there are ups & downs for which u learn, grow & stand.
